incredible Himalaya
Leh Jeep Safari , Himalaya
Duration
10 Days
Region

Amritsar (Punjab), Dharamshala (Kangra), Manali (Kullu Valley), Lahaul , Ladakh.

Season     July – September

Beginning  from the plains of Punjab, which is the home of Sikhs and famous Golden Temple, the journey further heads into the beautiful Valley of Kangra.

Visiting ancient temple sites and monuments we proceed for Dharamshala (Mcleodganj):  The home of His Holiness Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of the Tibetan. Here one gets amazed to see how Tibetan people in exile have kept their culture resonant. One can visit many Gompas, museums and institutes, some of them house  ancient and priceless Thankas and scrolls.

Driving towards Rewalsar and further to Manali we come across many newly constructed monasteries and Buddhist research centers.

Manali is Himachal’s main tourist resort, Manali, stands at the head of the Kullu Valley. Majestic mountain scenery and the areas seemingly limitless supply of inexpensive charm makes the place very popular among the tourists. Though the Town has gone through a rapid change in the last few years ,old charm does remain in the nearby Villages, such as Naggar.

Over the Rohthang pass(52kms from Manali) the region on other side  comprises of the vast north western Himalayan region, lies to the north of the Pir Panjal range, north of Manali, marked by the 3978 mt high Rhotang pass, just 52 km from Manali. it comprises of Lahaul and Spiti, falling between the Pir Panjal and the great Himalayan range . The region of  Zanskar and Ladakh, which fall between the great Himalayan range to the south and to the north lie Zanskar Range  and Karakoram range. This vast area to the north of the Pir Panjal is a veritable natures wonder land, mind boggling and awe inspiring in its sheer scale splendor and majestic grandeur. Distant and aloof. Rocky barren uninhabited (except for a few pockets), cold and dry, this high altitude cold mountainous desert, where the average ground level height varies between 4000 mt to 4500 mt, is a surrealistic land of stunning colors ,bizarre rock forms, and  the sprawling plains of the high altitude plateaus, encircled by the massive and towering mountains and snow clad peaks just like an amphitheatre of the Gods. Safari ends in Leh.
