Himalayan Adventurers is one of the first adventure and culture tour operators in the area, Nestled in   Manali , a town situated  in the state of Himachal Pradesh, it started operations in 1986.

It continues to pioneer new adventure, cultural and eco tours in the surrounding Himalayas, without sparing the most remote areas of Himachal, Ladakh, Lahaul and Spiti, Pangi and Kishtwar, and Garhwal. Today Himalayan Adventurers offers a vast range of adventure, cultural, nature - based programs and is operating various tour circuits in this part of Himalayas.

The Company is registered and recognized by the Department of Tourism, Government of Himachal Pradesh.  The Company is also a member of the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India.

The company has a long standing association with leading travel and adventure companies World wide and is listed in the recommendation list of various reputed and well read travel guide books including Lonely Planet, Rough guide, Footprints, Fodor’s, Alastair Sawday’s .

We are located in the sylvan hill resort of Manali, in the district of Kullu of the mountainous state of Himachal Pradesh, lying due south of Ladakh, in India. Manali is strategically located at the foot of the 3978 mts. high Rohthang pass, on the ancient trade route to Ladakh and beyond. Our location also makes it the ideal jumping pad for the treks / jeep safaris, into the uniquely beautiful, high region of the Kinnaur, Lahaul and Spiti, Pangi and Kishtwar, Zanskar & Ladakh.

Our guides are all mountain people from Ladakh, Himachal and Nepal. Many of them have been working with us since our inception and our company leaves no stone unturned to look after their safety and well being, and their kin are groomed and well trained to join us.

They know the vagaries of the weather, understands the signs that point to trouble, be it a jeep safari, a trek or rugged mountain expedition. They have high standards of safety , very good knowledge of the terrain  and  the vast experience in the trade  have  helped them develop excellent communication skills   to act as a bridge between our clients and the locals to provide that special cross-cultural exchange that leads to increased awareness and special memories that makes our clients want to return time and again.

Years of experience have refined the culinary and professional skills of our Kitchen staff, paying attention to minute details. Ever smiling always ready to greet you at the camp  with a hot cup of tea after a hard arduous walk , and  hot water kept ready  just when you think of washing up.

We have a team well qualified members in the office, ready to provide you with information and assistance. We have an extensive network of contacts, in all our area of operations. with our personal contacts and good rapport with locals, which we have developed over the years.

We continuously upgrade our equipment. Our tents and sleeping bags are also of the highest quality. Our kitchen, dining and toilet tents are custom-made for us. The quality of the linen, crockery, cutlery and other camping equipment are also of the highest standard. We have our own fleet of transportation, comprising of buses, jeeps that strengthen our operations.

Mr. Roopu Negi our company founder, a skiing fanatic in his early days and  One of the founder members of the first Skiing club (Winter Sports Club) in Manali. . He won the best skier award in 1978 and remained in serious skiing till 1986. In late seventies and early eighties, he made small climbing expeditions in the mountains around Manali and also skied down the mountain peaks of Patalsu and Brighu. After completing his graduation he started The Himalayan Adventurers  in 1986, one of the first Adventure and cultural tour Operating Company in Manali.  He was the first to operate the Grand Western Himalayan Jeep Safari from Shimla to Ladakh in 1993. which is now a well-known tour circuit in the Western Himalayas.  He has Traveled extensively all over the Western Himalayas, including Zanskar, Ladakh and Spiti, Garhwal and the remote areas of Himachal and Has made a deep study of these areas, their unique and ancient culture and traditions. Now actively involved in promoting new and unexplored areas in the Western Himalaya. he has grown up with the company to see it evolve as one of  the best adventure and travel company in the region.
